On the 11th of May Direct Selling Associations of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in cooperation with AmCham Latvia organized the Baltic Annual Conference on Direct Selling and Entrepreneurship. The Conference was held on the occasion of 10 years anniversary of Latvian and Lithuanian DSAs’ foundation. Leaders of direct selling (DS) industry operating in the Baltics, as well representatives from DS industry international organizations, governmental institutions and media gathered to the Conference.
For Baltic DSAs the WFDSA Innovation Award!
During the Gala dinner of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) Regional Conference “East Meets West” in Istanbul, the WFDSA Chairman and “Avon” CEO Andrea Jung to the General Secretary of the Baltic Direct Selling Associations Gintautas Zaleckas handled the WFDSA Innovation Award.
Adoption of CR-Directive
On June 23rd the European Parliament took a final vote on the Consumer Rights Directive, which will increase the consumer rights buying through direct selling (away from business premises) and through distance selling. The last formal approval by the Council of Ministers is expected to take place in July. Member States will have a maximum of two years to implement the new rules.
